Clothing Manufacture (Level 3)
The aim of the program:
This practical course is designed to take people from little (or no) sewing experience to becoming an industrial machinist. We teach the students machine handling skills, production sewing and full garment construction techniques to industry standard. This opens up the opportunity to run your own business from home.
This practical course requires a combination of working in class (twice a week - days or evenings) and work from home. We can assist you with an industrial sewing machine at your house if required.

Entry requirements:
- Pass an entry interview
- Apply on application form
Duration of study:
- Start anytime (dependant on avialable space)
- 19 weeks
- Full and Part time study available
- Days Mon to Thurs (select 2 days) 8:30am - 1:30pm
- Evenings Papatoetoe only - Wed and Thurs (5.30 pm ~ 9.30 pm)
Qualifications Offered:
- National Certificate in Clothing Manufacture (Basic Garment Assembly) Level 3
- ATITO Basic Machinist Certificate (optional)
- ATITO Advanced Machinist Certificate (optional for advanced students)
